The Marie-Louise MIMRAN Foundation and the Compagnie Sucrière Sénégalaise, both from the MIMRAN Group, work jointly for the economic and cultural development of the Richard Toll area.
A visionary project
Under the aegis of Cheickh Ibrahima GAYE, General Administrator of the Foundation, André FROISSARD, General Director of CSS, and Georges WALTER, Plantation Director, the 2015 project to create around fifty IRRIGASC arboricultural farms for the benefit of a hundred families was launched (6,000 trees). This program was the start of a long-term partnership with the IRRIGASC Association.
Between 2016 and 2017, the project gained momentum and together we planted 15,000 fruit trees with more than 120 beneficiaries.
In 2018 and 2019, the CSS project continued, and we planted 30,000 trees with over 330 beneficiaries.
